Like all fresh, real food Morris Grassfed Beef is a seasonal product. Orders for Morris Grassfed Beef are taken year round until our beef supply runs out. We harvest our animals on a seasonal basis, when the grass is still green and the animals have "finished," usually May through July and again in the fall.
What's Included
Our portions start with a split-half which ranges between 87-105 lbs. For more details on what's included in a split-half, see here. We primarily sell our beef directly to the consumer. You can also order a half (approx 174 lbs) or whole (approx 348 lbs) portion. Special cutting instructions for the butcher are possible for halves and wholes. Many of our customers purchase portions and split them with other family or friends.
We also sell organ meats, bones, and extra ground beef until our supplies run out. You can add these to your order during the order process.
Getting Your Beef
We have two pickup options, Traditional and CSA-Style. All beef is delivered frozen and in labeled packages with the cut and weight. Our beef freezes very well and can be preserved safely for a year or more in a freezer.
Our 'Traditional' deliveries give you all of your beef at one time, along with any extras that you might order. We have a number drop-off locations throughout the Central Valley, Bay Area, and Southern California. To see a list of drop-off locations, see here. As you place your order, you pick the date and time that fits best with your schedule.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. You purchase the same split-half (or larger), but we store the portion and deliver it to you over the course of the year. The 'CSA-Style' is ideal for people who would like to eat Morris Grassfed Beef but do not have the freezer capacity to store it. For more info on 'CSA-style' deliveries, click here.
How to Order
We start accepting orders for the upcoming year in late January. Depending on demand, we may still have portions available throughout the year, but we recommend that you place your order early to ensure you can select your preferred pickup location and time.
When you place an order a deposit of $140 (payable by check or PayPal) is required to confirm your order. The final price is based on the final weight of the cut and is due upon delivery.

Other Options
Besides our direct market, we also offer Morris Grassfed Beef® for sale in individual cuts at the Hollister Farmers Market - Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - from May until October. Beginning in the the spring of 2011, our beef will be available at the Monterey Farmers Market, Tuesday afternoons from 4 to 8 p.m. on Alvarado Street. Marc and Mindy Lefaucheur of Two M Farms will be selling it at their booth.
